Surprise 40th birthday party for Louise last Sunday at Rowhill Grange in Dartford, kick-started our Spring/Summer busy period.  Great crowd too who loved the Robbie Williams special requests that we played.  Extremely busy Bank Holiday weekend coming up starting tomorrow 29th April with the Trio at our monthly gig at The Duke of Kent in Ealing, followed by the weekend performing at three different weddings in Oxford, Shepperton and Colchester!

Another great evening last week when the band performed at the new Loxwood Jazz Club in West Sussex.  The band was a sell-out and

the event was attended by none other than Alvin Stardust who personally came  up to thank the band for a fabulous evening!  We hope to be back again at the club later in the year.   To find out where we are next appearing in public see our gigs page.

Back again this coming Thursday 25th February at The Duke of Kent in Ealing with the trio – Steve on vocals, Dominic on bass and Sandra on keys.  Great FREE night out if you’re not busy and a good chance to see us if you’re thinking of booking the trio or even the larger band for a forthcoming function.   It’s a lovely pub with great food and a wonderful atmosphere.  We’ll be back there the last Thursday of every month throughout the year.  For times and directions see our gigs page

On Thursday 28th January the Trio (Vocals, Keyboard, Double Bass) is back again at The Duke of Kent, Ealing.  This is a great pub with fine food where you can either eat or just listen to the band at the bar.   Simply Swing is back by popular demand.  The house was jam packed the last time we were there and we’re anticipating another very busy night so get there early!  Full details of the gig can be found on our gigs listing.

Well a busy week coming up now with Christmas just a week away.  We are back at Boreham House, Chelmsford this Sunday for a winter wedding and at Great Foster, Egham on Monday 21st and Wednesday 23rd December for more private events.  Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and we’ll keep you posted of all our activities in the New Year.  Ho Ho Ho…

Back again at Leez Priory two nights running and then its sister venue, Gosfield Hall for what was a very busy autumn week!  Simply Swing has been a recommended supplier to these two stunning Essex wedding venues for several years now.  We not only have the band perform from a Quartet up to the 7-Piece at these venues but we also supply a solo pianist for the wedding ceremony or reception drinks and Rat Pack singer for drinks or early evening entertainment as an alternative.   Simply Swing works at Leez Priory and Gosfield Hall so frequently that even our band videos were recorded there!  Anyone who has a wedding booked for Leez or Gosfield (or any other venues, of course) might like to come and see the band perform locally to the venues at The Belvedere in Billericay on Tuesday 10th November.

We’re back at the Belvedere Golf & Country Club in Billericay tonight 9th June.  Open to the general public, this venue is a great opportunity to see the band before you book us for a private event or just come along for a great night out of music.
