A great gig last Saturday at the Hilton Waldorf London, where Simply Swing played for Susan and James’ huge Indian/Irish wedding reception with over 300 guests in attendance. The band was treated to the most amazing curry and so we all had a smile on our faces – as captured in the wonderful photo below snapped by Maria Murray. This has to be the loveliest band photo we have ever had taken, so a huge thank you to Maria for lining us up in front of the perfect pillar in the beautiful Palm Court.
The Band Chosen for the best London Hotels
Simply Swing is, of course, no stranger to performing at London’s most beautiful and elegant hotels. We’ve been the resident band at both the Park Lane Hotel and The Waldorf hotel in the past. We were privileged to be chosen to play for the Millennium night at the Waldorf in 1999 where both the band and the guests saw the amazing fireworks. I seem to remember we had a 2 am finish time! We were also there for a New Year’s Eve event a couple of years ago. It’s a most wonderful venue for any occasion but a Waldorf Hotel London wedding is a truly special occasion.
